How many fintech companies are in San Francisco? Moreover, is San Francisco really still the Fintech Capital of America?
Well we went to Linkedin and the results are not good for San Francisco!
We don’t think they can remain the King of Fintech. Or the capital of American Fintech anymore? We see only 6,000+ available Fintech jobs vs over 8,000 for New York City area region, so how can San Francisco have fewer jobs than New York. But, still consider themselves the Fintech king? We don’t think thats right and we have to officially take the title away from San Francisco and give it to New York City. Which is the new Fintech capital of the United States.
However, not the world, as India is the Fintech superstar. And Delhi has become just an awesome incubation oven for tiny and larger fintechs of all sorts. Moreover, with a laser focus on SAAS or software as a service. These Indian firms are impressive, of course many of them can’t find clients. But sorry San Francisco, you have lost your crown!
